11.24.2010– (Seattle, WA) – Everyone has mountain pride. Is your backyard mountain better than the rest? Does it kill it with steeps, trees, chutes, hits, rails, pipes or exposure? Time to get some skin in the game and prove it. Launching today on Contour.com, “The Backyard Brohaha Contest!”

Contour and five of North America’s premiere mountains have partnered, attempting to settle once and for all the eternal question that’s dogged powder lovers across the globe since the days of Snurfers and 3-pin bindings: “Which resort rules supreme?”

How it works:
• Skiers and snowboarders are asked to make a short video edit (1-5 minutes) of their skiing/riding experiences at one of the following resorts: Crystal Mountain, Whistler Blackcomb, Squaw Valley, Aspen Snowmass and Mount Snow.
• Once the edits are completed, contestants can upload them to the contest page on Contour’s site, selecting their resort prior to upload. Check it out HERE: www.contour.com/contest.
• The video with the most views from each mountain by 11:59pm PST on December 31, 2010 will win a Contour 1080HD camera and a week’s worth of lift tickets from their mountain.
• Don’t live or ride at one of those mountains? No worries! We’ve got two grand prizes that anyone can win! Simply enter your video from any mountain into our “Wild Card” contest and we’ll pick our 2 favorite videos to win either a new set of skis or snowboard.

Hot Tips!
• You’ll need to create an account on Contour.com. Don’t worry – it’s fast, free and painless.
• Be sure to select the resort you’re entering.
• Don’t forget to tag the resort in the tag section.
• If you’re entering as a “wild card” be sure to enter the name of the resort in the title and tags, as well as the word “wild card.”
Pimp out those vids! Post the links and embeds EVERYWHERE: forums, Facebook, your blog.
• You can enter one video per day per person so don’t hold back! Fire the HD POV cannon!
