Finding a hiking boot that protects and supports while still giving good ground feel can be tricky. Often, our high-ankled friends have a very firm underfoot midsole with a softer topsole to make sure that we’re not too exposed to the sharp, angular ground features that may pop up. While we can certainly get behind that, we’re also fans of boots that can bring the ground alive; boots that can still offer great protection but keep us in sensory contact with the terrain we’re covering. The Keen Logan Mid WP walks a good line through all these things and keeps you dry the whole time too.
